Winchester   Enfield 303

"The Enfield 303 is an honest heavy carbine from Indo-China. Brings back a lot of memories for experts. Comparing a 5.56 NATO to an Enfield is like comparing a fart to an explosion."
—Previous game description
"The Enfield 303 is a throwback rifle, originally designed for piercing armor, elephant skulls, and concrete-block walls. It works pretty well on zombies, too."

The Enfield is a bolt-action rifle that appears in Dead Trigger.

OverviewEdit

SummaryEdit

The Enfield 303 is currently the only bolt-action rifle featured in the game. It is undoubtedly one of the deadliest weapons in the game. It has one of the longest ranges of all the rifles, assault, bolt, lever, and even the LMG's. It is a fan favorite because of its high damage.

This rifle deals a 140 starting damage, which is high for a weapon even without an upgrade, producing deadly results for Zombies, capable of performing a carnage; completely destroying them. It is best used for long range targets, because it has high accuracy and high damage. Enemies from a further distances can be taken down brutally with a single headshot. The iron sight can sometimes limit visibility while aiming down sight due to its obstructive build, but firing from the hip doesn´t prove any less effective in terms of accuracy at most ranges.

It is best used as a secondary weapon, because it is essentially, a Jack of all trades, but master of none. To put it simply, although it can be used for many purposes, its only strengths are its range and damage. Its fire-rate is poor, and its clip size is small, making it harder to kill several Zombies quickly, and its ready time between shots can mean losing a mission. This is similar to it's real-life counterpart: it is strong, but lacks speed.

TriviaEdit

  • The reload animation shows a magazine being detached and replaced with a new one. This is unusual, as the weapon is usually reloaded using stripper clips.
  • This model of the (Lee) Enfield is actually a No.5 Jungle Carbine
  • In real life, the Enfield can hold 10 rounds in its magazine instead of 5, however, the act of loading 5 rounds may be done to increase the service life of the magazine.
