The Grenade Launcher is a special weapon in Dead Trigger 2.

Overview Edit

The Grenade Launcher is the first heavy weapon to be unlocked. Its blueprint is revealed at Tech level 3, and it requires Gunsmith level 5 to be built.

Summary Edit

The Grenade Launcher is an explosive weapon that shoots like a Frag Grenade. As such, each shot moves on a parabolic trajectory position which means the accuracy of this weapon is dependent on the skill of the person. It's a pump-action weapon, it means the player has to "pump" after each shot, similarly to shotguns. Because of it, the rate of fire is relatively slow. The grenades detonate on impact of a zombie. Otherwise, it will detonate after a period of time.

It is a great secondary weapon against special zombies, particularly the Panzer as one shot from it (regardless of damage) will cause it to turn behind and expose its weakness. It is also excellent for clearing zombie hordes at close range. However, the player should never use it as a primary weapon due to its heavy weight, slow fire rate and reload speed. It is best paired with a light primary weapon like a melee, a handgun, an assault rifle, or a submachine gun.

It also loses its effectiveness quickly at higher levels once zombies cannot be killed in one shot.

Pros & Cons Edit

Plusico High damage, explosive splash damage allowing to take out more zombies at once.
Minusico May be difficult to aim, slow rate of fire, low ammo capacity.

  • There is a glitch in which the grenade may, instead of impacting a zombie and detonating, pass through all the zombies.
