"Traditional pump-action fun. Favorite choice of police officers and Zombie killers."The Ithaca is a shotgun in Dead Trigger 2.
The Ithaca is a powerful weapon for every starting player. It is the first weapon that requires blueprints to be built, but it's easy to unlock, as Special Zombies have a high blueprint drop rate early in the game. Compared to the previously available weapons (CZ 75 and MP5K), the Ithaca deals much more damage, starting with one-hit kills at a close range. However, it's a pump-action shotgun, meaning that its rate of fire is low, as it needs to be pumped after each shot fired. It has the lowest magazine and ammunition capacity of all shotguns in game. As it's a shotgun, it also works best in close range combat. Its low magazine capacity can be a disadvantage when more zombies are around.
A good tactic when encountering a big group of zombies is to avoid being cornered by them and move a lot instead while taking out one zombie after another. It is advised to keep some distance to be able to reload without being hurt.
It's advised to be paired with a long range weapon, such as the M-16 and used as a secondary in close-range combat.
Pros & ConsEdit
|Good damage, fair rate of fire|
|Small magazine size, long reload time, low range, large accuracy reduction when moving|
- This is the first shotgun unlocked in Dead Trigger 2.
- There seem to be some ornaments, engraved on the side of the receiver. This is easier to be seen when reloading the gun.
