The MP5K is a submachine gun in Dead Trigger 2.


The MP5K is the first submachine gun to be unlocked. This weapon is built by the Gunsmith when the mission Tools of the Trade is completed.


The MP5K is the first weapon built. It is useful in the USA campaign, but will start to lose its power soon. The gun is best used at close ranges. It should be replaced with other weapons as this gun will lose power quickly, if it is not upgraded at least three times. At the rate Zombies in either the USA campaign or the Africa campaign gain strength, the MP5K becomes very weak, after its first three missions, it begins to have significantly less effect on any Zombies, special or normal.

It is the first SMG that can be used, purchased, and possibly upgraded in the game. It is unfortunately weaker in comparison to the starter pistol, which fares better the longer it is used, and all the more with it's respective upgrades. It has one of the highest fire rates, with a medium sized magazine of 35. Aside from the first few uses, it begins to take at least 10 bullets, if not more to take down a single walker.

Overall, it is best left for the CZ 75, or an upgraded melee weapon, as these options fare better, and most melee weapons do not use ammo. The MP5K has low accuracy, and it appears the front grip has no effect, and is there purely for cosmetic reasons. The sights are fairly clear, but do not help much in terms of accuracy.

  • The MP5K's ironsight zoom is actually inaccurate since the iron sights are not properly aligned in the zoom with the forward iron sight being the only one utilized which will result in the bullets flying higher in real life, causing the bullets to miss the intended target.
